Long park along the Peace River where it flows into Charlotte Harbor. Angled just right for those beautiful Florida sunsets.
Features include tennis court and fishing pier, several benches to rest in, a gazebo by the shore where musicians perform. Covered picnic area by restrooms a great idea. Seems to be the town gathering place, pleasant people who say hello as they pass you.
Impressive Ponce de Leon monument, he supposedly anchored along here in 1513 and met hostile Calusa tribe.
First time here last Sunday around 2. Few people were there, may be different on weekdays. They checked out my number, then made me sign a roster since my home gym is the St Pete location. Never had to sign when visiting other locations across Florida.
Huge parking lot on north side of quiet strip mall, on a side street that’s a delight to get in and out of. US 19 overpass across the street so hop on the highway immediately.
This gym is just as big as the main one in St Pete, long rows of treadmills and stationary bicycles flanked by other equipment. Large weightlifting area. Bathroom was spotless. What, no soap? I can live with that.
First time here on a recent Sunday afternoon, right on University Drive in Downtown Gainesville. Parking lot a bit too small for this crowded day.. Guest 15-minute computers quite convenient for visitors.
Built on two levels, so have to climb a few steps to large main level. Big magazine area a welcome place to rest and relax in plush chairs. An ornate network of varnished woodwork throughout the ceiling and along walls is unique architecture. A pleasant place. Short walk from here to several restaurants and bus lines.
