A few days ago I took a stroll through Pass-A-Grille, the historic south end of St Pete Beach in Tampa Bay. At the southern tip there is a high rocky point where the fishermen gather, I don’t do any fishing myself but enjoy looking way out into the Gulf and north along the beach for several miles.
As I walked up to it I notice three manatees hanging around. When I stand there on the railing the three of them come up close and linger a while, rubbing each other’s noses. It was an awesome sight to see them up close, two adults and a cub. Sometimes mother nature delights you when you least expect it.
